Welcome to the neighborhood…

The Latrobe Family Medicine Residency Program was developed in 1974 as a way to bring new physicians to rural communities. Residency is a three year training commitment and requires medical students to interview for a limited number of spots across the country. As part of the interview process, Latrobe Hospital requested an introductory video to explain the program’s philosophy and surrounding community.

The Approach

I began by meeting with members of the faculty to learn about the program’s curriculum and training process. We agreed the video should showcase the faculty, as well as include commentary from current residents. Photography would also be integrated to highlight area attractions. I was responsible for conducting the interviews, shooting photography of the local attractions, and the final editing. The end result was a positive first impression that allowed medical students worldwide to become familiar with this program and the surrounding community.
